Welcome to underthecouch.net
| Under The Couch offers a miniature conversion service for those looking for something a little different for their collection. On this site you will find images of my work to date, including commission pieces and miniatures sold on eBay. I also run regular eBay auctions for assorted miniature bits, as I accumulate a lot of extras whilst hunting for parts for conversions. You will find details of these on the 'Current Auctions' page.
Details of commission pricing and ordering information can be found on the 'Commissions' page. Pictures of past eBay and Commission conversions and past UTC Painting Competitions are in the Gallery. You can also find my other websites, including my personal miniature gallery at Infernus, spanning more than 10 years of miniature collecting, in the Links section. |

| Back to base-ics... | A whole gaggle of stuff added to the site this week!
First off, I've added a new base style to the Custom Bases section, a Random Tile base.
And while I was working on bases, I have made up an extra 10 Jungle bases, which are currently listed on eBay here, finishing on the 23rd of July.
5th Edition 40K has arrived, and to celebrate I have listed a range of the new eye-wateringly green plastic markers and tokens.
Also listed this week are the usual array of Marine and Chaos bits, and some Champions of the Force singles from Star Wars Miniatures.
You can find all of this week's auctions in the 'Current Auctions' section.
Back in the store, I have given the catalogue a bit of a revamp, to make Space Marine and Chaos bits a little easier to find, and have added a 'Recycled Miniatures' section, currently listing a slew of pre-loved Space Marine miniatures including 2nd edition plastics, Space Crusade Marines and metal Scouts.
I'll be adding more to that section as miniatures surface from storage.

| We'll make a new mini of you! | I came across a box of old Space Marine models in the store room the other day, collected over the years with great intentions, but never actually used for anything.
So, I decided it was time to find these models a better home.
With that in mind, I have set up a 'Recycled Minis' category in the Warhammer 40K section of the online store. In there you will find a range of pre-loved, in some cases partially painted and/or assembled, Space Marine minis including the current multi-parts, 2nd edition starter set minis, the old brightly coloured Space Crusade minis (not brilliantly sculpted, but an excellent cheap filler) and a gaggle of metal Scouts.
If it proves successful, I'll have to see what else I have laying around that could do with a better home...
In other news, this week's eBay listings are up, including the usual array of 40K bitz (Marine, Chaos and Orks this week) and Star Wars Miniatures singles from Legacy of the Force and Battle of Hoth.
You can find this week's auctions in the Current Auctions section here.
I have also added the Battle of Hoth miniatures, map and scenario book to the online store, in the Star Wars section here.

| War at Sea | We've finally received in a restock of the Axis & Allies War at Sea minis, and so you'll find a whole slew of them up on eBay this week.
Also listed this week are the usual array of Space Marine and Ork bitz, with a few left-over Chaos Bitz from last week.
You'll find this week's auctions listed here.
While we're at it, we've listed some War at Sea commons in the Online Store, along with a small restock of Space Marine bitz and some Star Wars bits and pieces from the Attack on Endor box.
More coming soon...

| Star Wars Miniatures Custom Cards | I have been tinkering with some ideas for sprucing up Star Wars Miniatures games recently, and thought it was about time to share...
2 sets of game cards have been added to the Downloads section.
The first is a set of Mission Cards. You receive one of these (randomly dealt) at the start of the game, to give you one of 12 different objectives, rather than just playing to wipe each other out all the time.
The second is a set of 40 Event Cards, which add random elements to the game. You receive one card for every 100 points in your squad, and reveal them when you choose. They grant you bonuses like re-rolled or redirected attacks, the ability to steal characters from an opponent's squad, automatic Critical hits, and a whole slew of others.
Both sets of cards can be found here

| Stompin'! | The Orks come stomping back into the eBay gallery this week, with a little project that I've been tinkering with for a while now...
Built from a couple of Space Marine Rhinos and a little plasticard, this is my first attempt at an Ork Stompa, and my biggest model to date.
You can find the full pics in the Gallery, and you can see how it was built in the WIP blog thread over on the Forums.
And, of course, you can find the Stompa on eBay here, finishing on the 1st of July.
